Santa on holiday

The two Santa´s are souvenirs from my visit to New Zeeland many years ago. 
I created a digital beach for him, so this is digitally painted. And Santa added to to the scene. 

We will soon pass Winter Solstice where we change darkness to light. Looking for Santa in the files I found this one and thought it would fit today. 

Wishing all of you a merry Christmas and a Happy new year. A little early maybe. But so what?

Lol, first time I tried to paint something I could eat. One of them mysteriously disappeared.

AEDM 29   Only one more day to go. 

Christmas plate

The only thing I painted here is the plate. Everything else is only placed on the plate. Trying to glue it would have destroyed the look of fluffy clouds and lichen. The rest is Christmas decoration for the tree. If I don´t push it around too much it can be my substitute for a Christmas tree this year. 

Take care everyone. I now have a thin layer of snow outside. Enough to lighten up the landscape.

Just a test. Using the BW square fluid and backdrop and added a few silhouettes, mermaids and a fish, from Pinterest. I don´t usually do that as I use my own stuff.  But as they seem free to use I give it a try.

Golden angel in snowy weather
This is a mixture of paint and photography edit. The "snow" comes from one of my LP:s I painted on. The angel is a figurine I got from my daughter.  The landscape comes from a Scotland trip I was on.

 (three sizes of the same image creates the frame-effect)

The two images of Frozen flowers, is just that. I freeze them and when I take them out i five the ice a quick dip in water. Then I have to hurry get them photographed before it all melts.

I like the first wave I created with thick paint on canvas 12x18 cm. Yesterday evening I made the second one.

As I have acrylic paint I wanted to play around with it. I had seen something on Youtube I wanted to try. But of course, my work took it´s own path. It´s not even close to what I started with :)

Polarising filter and Saturn part 2

Fantasy Planets, Saturn project. 

Continuing from last week. I did a few exercises on painting the planet on OH plastic sheets.
Last week Susan suggested that I can use that weeks pour to create a planet. Worked out well I think. Thank you Susan!

So, for the finished piece I opened Photoshop. Copied one of the Saturns and created another planet of the pour in PS. Then I created the background universe with stars, a comet and dust clouds. And put it all together. Not sure if I am finished though.
It is fun being able to combine paint and photo like this :)

I learned this trick from an ad on FB. They use a polarizing filter on the camera and photograph some plastic in front of a computer screen. Turned out I had a filter and it suited the camera lens. But it was not so easy. The colors changes with every movement of the camera.  The piece I photographed is a magnifying glass for reading. And to make it a bit more interesting I added the angels.
