Travel tree and music

This is an image from Morocco. I was inside a market place so it got blurred because it was dark. I took it to Photo shop and enhanced  it with a filter. I think you can call it Impressionist photo.
I like to go through old travel images. Here and there I find something useful :)

Whimsical Tree Goddess, finished, I think! Canvas 31x40 cm. Acrylics
I did not want a large black space at the bottom so I let her skirt flow out so the background is visible. This exercise was good and I, kind of, like the finished one. BUT, I clearly need more practise to teach my hand and arm how to paint curves :)

I think I will call this one "Louis Armstrong"
It is painted on an OLD record with Louis music on.  I bought the record in a second hand store. I don´t dare  tell my sister. She liked the old music. :) Well, could not play it anyway. It was 78rm
I used a colander for the pour. Tempera color. The record soaked up a lot of  paint. :)

Summer is closing in but we need much more rain where I live. I hope everyone are safe from drought and flooding.

Whimsical tree´s texture canvas with shadow pattern, edited in photoshop

This is the "Whimsical Tree Goddess" project.
I saw the video on Youtube and thought it is a good exercise for handling pencils. First time  I got the blending of  Acrylic colors to my liking. It was well explained how to do it. So I was happy :)
Then I made a sketch of the treegoddess. And got stuck! It is hard to transfer the sketch to the canvas as the canvas surface is kind of, slippery.
So, for the time being I photographed the canvas texture and took it to photoshop for some fun edit.

LP-flower and Microcosmos

LP-flower
This is painted on an LP-disc. A black background and then I too a chain with white color to create the "frame" In the center I added a few colored paint spots and used a balloon to create the flower.

This is the Microcosmos shell from last week. Yesterday I noticed on my balcony this piece of birch bark and placed the shell on it. Now I think this is how my "Microcosmos" is complete :)

Universe and Transformation of field

Micro cosmos - Mikrokosmos
In August there will be an exhibition in my town where every local artist can attend with three pieces. The theme is Micro Cosmos. I have created two small pieces so far. The shell is 12x12 cm and the canvas 12x18 cm.
I´m unsure which way to turn it. I created it as the lower one but my daughter sais it shall rotate to the upper one. What do you think? I would like the input.

Below I decided to share how some things evolve when I work
This is a field hole, I think they call it, where my daughter lives.

The same image with a PS filter, Angle strokes

Next step:  channel mix1  o gradient map
Liked this one so I decided to try to paint it

So, here it is: the Field hole as painting on canvas. Acrylic 20x30 cm
I was using a roller, pencil and a water spray bottle. I liked the little dots created by the water.
Has very  little in common with the original, right?

Circles and Reusable things

Circled Owl
As I found the Instagram challenge with circles I thought I should try.
This was created om an A5 paper using glittering, metallic gel pens of sort. When I took the photo I tilted the paper slightly to be able to capture the glow.

Button Tree, Canvas20x30 cm
I had a litle left of the thick medium, and the circle challenge ctill going. So how to do this? I like white trees so I cerated a "lake" and a tree.  This is obvously a flowering tree. :)  I had some buttons in a drawer and created flowers with them. I think it is fun!  :)

Memories! Canvas 30x40cm
Not sure what to name this! Any suggestions?
I was selling some chairs and this delicate shawl was hanging on it. It belonged to my mother and I wanted to keep in in some way. It also suited the circle challenge. I put it down on a white canvas while working. Then it hit me. I fasten it on the canvas and draped it to create the center and then used one of the buttons for a color point. I photographed this piece on a black canvas not to spoil the shape of the surrounding shawl.
