Exhibition Jungle and ice

In the jungle!
Acrylic on water color paper A4

My exhibition in the library. My paintings and my sisters dolls.

Sisters!
This is my sisters work. The doll to the left is my sister and the one beside her in the coat is me.
My sister designed and sew the cloths and hairstyle we actually had at that time in our lives. This is the first time I could convince her to share them on the exhibition. And, people loves all of them. 😄

PPF AEDM22 From this week

The wave
This one is not yet finished, as I started it at midnight, but I wanted to photograph it before I might spoil it.
The idea is to ad foam bubbles on it. I have seen how to do it with color and dish soap.
So, wish me luck on that.

On stage, my own, homemade, stencils and foam brush on CARBon paper

My Orchids  liquidized in photoshop

And a combination of orchids and ballerina

The orchids and ballerina somehow belongs together. So, I cut out the dancer using a scalpel from a copy on paper. Had some fun with the orchids and combined it all in photoshop.
And, right now I realized I can actually cut out stencils from OverHead sheets that I have a load of since I was working.

I have two orchids and they happened to bloom at the same time. I shot them using a black and a white background. Then decided to play with the black one.

Ice and water

Golden angel in snowy weather
This is a mixture of paint and photography edit. The "snow" comes from one of my LP:s I painted on. The angel is a figurine I got from my daughter.  The landscape comes from a Scotland trip I was on.

 Frozen flowers 1
(three sizes of the same image creates the frame-effect)

Frozen flowers 2
The two images of Frozen flowers, is just that. I freeze them and when I take them out i five the ice a quick dip in water. Then I have to hurry get them photographed before it all melts.

The wave 2

The wave 1 and 2
I like the first wave I created with thick paint on canvas 12x18 cm. Yesterday evening I made the second one.

LP-flower and Microcosmos

LP-flower
This is painted on an LP-disc. A black background and then I too a chain with white color to create the "frame" In the center I added a few colored paint spots and used a balloon to create the flower.

This is the Microcosmos shell from last week. Yesterday I noticed on my balcony this piece of birch bark and placed the shell on it. Now I think this is how my "Microcosmos" is complete :)

Exhibition with a student and UV light experiment

From Exhibition © NF Photo 181112

One day I was visted by a little girl . I had my black carbon paper with me so she was my "student" for a while.  Myself I created the twigs. Both of us worked with white gel pens.

Faded Hibiscus blooms in UV-light

I bought myself a UV lightbulb. Wanted to try something new. Some images became quite cool. For this one I made a copy of the layer and turned it 180deg. Then a blending of the two images created this one. It is an image of 2 faded Hibiscus blooms.

watercolor and clay

Clay forest,   Photo and digital painting on tablet
© NF PhotoArt 180621

Trying lots of  new stuff this week again while I wait for the acrylic paint.

This time I bought watercolor. Have not done that since I went to school as a child. So it is all new to me. A question to you that are used to the medium, is it possible to keep the paper from "bubbling"?

The Clay Forest, comes from cleaning up some remaning things from my mother. The clay was created by my mother and my daughter some 40 years ago. So, many memories there.
I photographed the pieces and manipulated them one by one in Photoshop. Then arranged the scene. The background is created by painting digitally with a tablet.

 Deep Freeze II-1
 Deep Freeze II-2
The last two my choise for today
© NF PhotoArt 180309

Several people asked me last week why I, in the first place, froze the flowers at all. Somehow because this is a hidden world most people never see. A pity as it is a very beautiful world.

The first 2 images are from 131026 when my cactus was full of flowers. Just a small cup filled with water and frozen with the flowers in it. The major problem is to get the flowers not to float! Today my major problem was to avoid the reflection from the window when i  put the ice in my bathtub.
Todays flowers I think is scilla and wood anemone.

The new images of the ice I shared last week are from today. They were frozen in a bowl for making pie. When you take the ice out you have to be fairly quick as it is melting rapidly. Especially when in the water. The ice cracks at the first contact with water. I´m not a painter, at least not yet,  but I think a good painter artstis could get inspired from this.

I made a quick GOOGLing on "frozen flowers exibition" and got a lot of gorgeous pieces of frozen art. It looks a bit like the flowers are enclosed in glass. Just they don´t last very long.

Hope you liked it ☺
