NatureFootstep: February 2019

When I realized it was Valentine it was already over, but as I had the red heart I decided to glue it to an LP. Just painted the middle area in black, and put the hart on it and let it dry. Then I added the petals. And made the background in Photoshop

This is quite interesting. When I used this record for the figurine above I used a different light. Then I realized there is an eagle on top of the flames. :)

Hope everyone has a good time, not covered in snow. Our weather changes daily so it is hard to make plans for outdoors activity. Right now there are sunshine and 3 cm snow that fell yesterday.

Flipping around with colors

This is an abstract painted with acrylic colors from tubes using a painting knife.

This color was thinner then I expected so I had to be careful to not blend too much. I did not want the color even. Next time I´ll try adding some gesso to make it thicker.

I started with black tempera on a small disk record. Then added dots of colors. From that I made the three flips on different papers. Lastly I added a bit more color to the disk and flipped that one.

None of these are dry yet. But so far they look good. Hope your place is not too cold. We got some snow a week ago but it melted again. So, it is wet everywhere I go. :(

Testing different things

I had some fun trying out new things this week. I did not get the canvas from last week as I wanted it but at least it is brighter now. I used it as backdrop for my little Aphrodite figurine.

The landscape came from the pattern I got on the canvas as I prepared it with gesso.

The stump I had before and now only made some surroundings with a fan brush.

The red eye started with leftover red and black color from the Yellowstone piece.
