Just plying around with Cinderella, family and waterfall

Cinderella, first try  canvas 40x50cm
This has been in my mind for a few months now. I bought the carriage two months ago and tried to figure out what and how to use them. I came up with this plan but did not know if it would work.
Well, I learned what happens with the color. Turned out I had tooo much black color on the canvas. I wanted it to look like the right side all the way down over the carriage. But I too much black color coming down. I have ordered 4 new carriages, I have shown this one for a few people and they seem to like it. :) My daughter want this one if I create another :)

These are now in my daughters possession. The horseshoes are from a trip to Iceland. So, from small horses. Photographed on her silvery placemat.

I was given a black tile from a friend. It was quite fun to through some color on it. Sadly it is not working as art. It is too heavy to hang on the wall and you canpt use it to place things on it.

Waterfall,  A4 paper for acrylic or watercolor work, first time I used it.

Waterfall, A4 carbon paper

Half way throgh the colored waterfall I had way to much white acrylic paint on the fanbrush so I started to paint the second waterfall. :) They did not take long to create and was fun :)

Acrylic on 30x40 canvas
As I have acrylic paint I wanted to play around with it. I had seen something on Youtube I wanted to try. But of course, my work took it´s own path. It´s not even close to what I started with :)

Feather and fishbowl

 Peacock feather
This week I finished the peacock feather. Acrylic on canvas. The basic pattern comes from an old skirt I have. I have not used it much but love the colors. It is 40x50 cm.

I found some Tempera colors on sale and bought it. Thought I can test that as well. I found a "childproof" recipe, that is...non toxic. I loved the golden color and the silver and blue used here.
Not to wast a lot of money I made the pour on a pizza box 25x25 cm. It buckled of course. A lot! When it was dry I moisture it a bit on the carton side and put a glass with weights on top of  it to try to flatten it. Right now I have checked it and think I actually succeeded in making it flat :)
I call it "Fishbowl" as I think one pattern looks like a fish :)

More testing

Blue canvas

Chain art

Well, too hot for outdoor activity still so I have been busy indoors. Except for the first image when I took Barbie and the dragon to our skate park for a shooting session.

I have an idea to paint a peacock feather on blue canvas. So I painted the blue canvas. And for fun I added the lighter crack in photoshop. My idea is to use the blue canvas for the peacock feather, but have to practise a lot before I dare do it. The peacock feather is done with some glitter pens just for fun and practise. I think the canvas have to wait.

The last one I created with help of a chain as Nicole suggested. I like it better then the yarn. I also liked the pattern the chain gave when most color was used up so I added a little on the sides.

This week I share no photo except for the one at the bus stop that was the cause of the Crack series. At that time I was not good at editing in Photo Shop and spent several hours to fix the image as I wanted it.

I also tried some yarn work. Not yet learned how thick the paint shall be.

It took me some trouble to figure out how to transfer the image from the screen to the paper. There was some computer, needle and pencil work involved in order to transfer the crack from the computer to the paper.

Being tricked by my eyes!
When I worked with this post I realized my eyes and brain did not see the crack image as it was.
I painted White on black and was thinking black on white for the opposite side. BUT, the original is different shades of white on white! An importent thing to learn I guess. If I some day get really good at this I will try all the shades that is in the original image.

OUCH..........this was a long one.

Rainy backdrop, my first attempt with acrylic oil, on paper 14,8x21 cm white, grain.
After almost three weeks I finally got the paint and pencils, but no panels. They were not in store. And the delay of the colors was due to our post office. They are not reliable nowadays. :(

I painted this on the paper and it was a good way to learn how paint and pencils work. But I did not dare to sign them. Tried to "write" with the pencil with no luck. But, it is possible to paint, but not write, with a toothpick. :)

I took a photo of the backdrop. It does not really look like the video I studied but I liked the way the white curves contrasted to the more or less grey surface. So I kept one image that way. Will probably do some more work with black and white only. I would have liked if the paper had been more square. The tree should have come up higher.
