Crops and farming and............

Rains TAD is about crops and farming today. Nice I thought, I have a lot of that. But, sometimes the more you have makes you trapped. My brain got a meltdown. Not fun! And the images I searched for I did not find. Luckily I had a few beforehand I can share.

This is a manipulated image of rye or barley. Not sure which. It s´was shut at a field after a rainfall.

This is Oats. Photographed and manipulated this summer.

Grass a rainy day manipulated in both Topaz and Photoshop. I like it, wish I could paint like this
😄

I painted this background several days ago. And then my mind was blank.
But this morning I finally dared to paint some oats on it!
Watercolor on A4 watercolorpaper.

This young farmer is me. It is an old shot of course I was probably just 8 years old.
I worked on it in a sketching software I have and made it a painting.
Hat and jeans! The outfit has not changed much. But nowadays I need something on top.

Wounded tree!
Sometimes when trees are wounded and sap are running it can be a very beautiful abstract.
This is pretty much the true colors. Just slightly enhanced. I cropped the image and mirrored it.

Paint and photo work, hard soft and wet

Oslo!
This is created from an image when I was on a train in Oslo, Norway, going north.
I took a quick shot through the window and played with it later. It is created by two images of the same shot. One rotated 180 deg to create this architecture for Rains TAD. (to be honest I created it a few years back)

Grebe abstract  (photowork)

This is the same as above but my lamp was on. I liked the effect so I share that as well. I think if would be nice as a photo poster.

Blue eye!
I was bored one day and so I played around a bit with water, soap and drops of oil. And, this happened.

A special thanks to Rain as she takes the time to do the challenged despite her blog break.
Hope your plans are going as planned.
Take care everyone.

Eyes and ears and nature

Lily of the valley
This is a photo of the berries and dry leaves of Lily of the Valley. For balance I added some other dry leaves.

Wild life in the sea
Photo manipulation. This was a duck from the start, now I see Dolphins  😀

Eyes and ears for Rains
Horus eye
Watercolor on A4 paper and a cutout eye.

The eye!
Watercolor on A5 sketch paper. My first eye ever.

This is supposed to be an ear. But I see a ghost.  😂
I did this one before the eye as a test on how sketch paper and pencils would work.

Today I will visit my daughter in her garden. My grand daughter will also be there.
It is my daughters birthday tomorrow. It was totally ruined on the 9/11 event. You are reminded of that every time it is her birthday. I wonder how many birthdays the C will destroy?

Create happy art.

Take care everyone!

Goddesses and some grass

"The Birth of Venus" (Sandro Botticelli) 1485  This image that Rain had found on her search of Masters says Venus. I thought this figurine was Afrodite.

At least this is NIKE, but who created her I have no clue.
Nike as the Winged Victory of Samothrace, c. 200-190 BC,

These are imaged from 130223 so they are old ones.  The  two above are slightly edited in Photoshop

Below are images showing the setting for my "photoshoot" with Goddesses figurines

Nike and Afrodite or if it is Venus   😕

Sand on a black baking sheet

At that time I had a bowl of water standing in the window. In February the sun created a rainbow on the floor. So I decided to play a little with goddesses and settings. The bowl in the window is the source to the rainbow. My files are almost overloaded with images from that day. Glad I found them. 😄

And a little grass also today
Leaves and grass
Watercolor on watercolor paper A4
For this one I used makeup pencils. A tiny one for the grass and leaves and a feather for the grass on the ground. For the background I used a pencil I think is used for powder on your face.
It was easy to work with makeup brushes and I like the result. Hope you like it too.

The color choices came from one of my socks..😄
