Evening and scallop

Evening in Varanger
For Rains promt this week, digital edit.

For quite some time I wanted to try something with this scallop.
4 days ago I gathered my unused oil colors and a pink paper I had. I did not want too much oil on my pencils as I knew it is very differnt from acrylics, so I decided to fingerpaint it.

Scallop in Oil on A4 pink paper
After several days this piece is still not dry. Guess that was the end of my oil adventure!
😒

Masked face!
When I walked in my destroyed forest yesterday I found this mask hanging on a twig. I brought it home to throw it away but decided to have some fun with it.
I guess you can call this "mixed media".

Finally the Corona makes shopping harder. I wanted to buy Watercolor paper but found none. It is gone from the shops and noone knows when it might be available again. I still have lots of other papers but they can´t be used for aquarelle/watercolor. So for now I only have a few sheets left for watercolor. And, two small canvases I can use.

So, for now I have colored paper and the photographic paper to work on. And the computer!
I´ll manage.

For you who followed me on Instagram I have to tell you I am out of there now.
I had an app that allowed me to post from my computer. But it got
wrong somehow and started to shot me out. I had to prove my id and change pw more times then I want to. Now I could not even do that. So, my IG time is over.
But I am  still here in blogland!

Take care everyone!

Door, leaf and ballerina

Watching his dream girl!
This is my travelling companion Andreas from my trip to Varanger. He is watching his dreamgirl inside my freezer!

Enlarged from the working file! This composite is created of 6 images; 2 muchrooms I photographed, one lady (free from internet), my empty freezer, Andreas and the door from an outdoor museum I visited.
So, this is for Rains promt of Doorways and Alleys this week.

The Maple leaf
I saw some leafs in a dirty ditch, it looked quite interesting. So, it ended up like this in Photoshop.

The paint from the roller last week, I peeled it off.

The ballerina!

I painted a new background in acrylic color. I had the circle cutout earlier in an OH- sheet. The problem seem always to be to stop the paint to flow under the sheet.

It is Aprils fool today. And as it is Easter too I wish you all a Happy Easter!
I saw it on the almanack. Since I retired I have problems keeping track of holidays. I thought it was next week! 😀

I am now scheduled for the first vaccine shot!

Die cuts and movement

Giggling, as I was creating this post for Rains promt Motion and movement,  I went through my art-files and found a lot that might be fun to share again. Enjoy! First, old ones you might have seen.

The Ballerina was my header for a long time. She is dancing!

 Swinging! It is spring!

The Seeeker!

The painter!

Escape! No longer trapped!

NEW!
Birch bark deer! If I had tilted it  a bit more it would have been a leap!
Photo!

Acrylics "Gel printing" below!
When I messed around with the die cuts and Geli printing I realized the cuts became quite beautiful.

This is where the die cuts came from!

Even the home made roller came out beautiful. This is actually a tejp roller to remove hair from your clothes. Maybe I should peel away the top layer?

I like the way the roller mixes the colors!

This is all for now folks!
I have now get selected for the C vaccin. But it seem to be quite an adventure to actually get it! It seems I can call for days before I even get an appoinment. And, always trouble with delivery of the vaccine when you hear the news. Different countries starting to become reluctant to deliver. It seem to become an ugly situation! 😭  I really hope they can solve it.
Every nation on the planet needs vaccine!

Northern light and Diagonal

Die cuts!
I visited a second hand store this week and found a lot of what I think is called Die cuts. Lots of cuts and figures in the packages. Among them the horse and wagon I used for my Cinderella paintings 2 years ago. As the shop where I bought them no longer exists I had no way to buy more. So, these followed me home. Took me a few hours to sort them out to see what I can use. The pieces I know I will not use I took back to the store. There were tons of stars and hearts. 💗 They can sell them once more. It is for sharity.

Ocean!
For Rains theme Diagonal this week I thought of these die cuts! I had already created the blue background, tempera color on A4 paper. As it looks like water I thought about the cut´s as fish!

Black and blue background. Tempera on A4 paper. As I had a lot of color on the paper I decided to make it two backgrounds. The diagonal, 😀, patterns comes from the fact I put another paper above this one and flipped it sideways. I used this one for the Aurora below. I have long thought of trying to paint Nothern Light. And, as I always think of Cinderella as Aurora It came in handy. The diecuts are also painted.  Swedish name is Askungen/ "The ash kid"

Aurora!

Cars a rainy day.
Just had some fun with a photo this week.

I hope everyone is safe. Sun is shining today so I will be outdoors most of the day.
Take care!

Space

Space, not too far away is Saturn. Painted on a scallop with tempera.

Space! Two colliding galaxies
Photowork.

Orange background painted with GESSO and acrylic color on a photopaper A4. I tried to cover the paper with gesso before coloring it. It was quite cool as it created the curves and features of the spatula I used to spread it out. I let it be uneaven. Then let it dry before coloring several layers. Took quite some time to finish as every layer has to dry before adding the next one. I was planning to paint some flowers on it but change my mind.

Instead of painting I search my files for Akleja-Columbine.  I used an old BW image I have.

Akleja!
And this is the final result. Paint and photo combined in PS.

My world can´t decide weather it is winter or spring. And we have a storm coming so I´d rather stay indoors today.

Creases mostly

Rains promt for todays TAD is Creases. I checked my files and came up with three I´d like to share.
Below is my porcelain hand as you probably seen before.

This one carries a piece of rock and a cone with many cracks.

Cracked light!
Digially created in Photoshop

Creases in a plastic cover at the bus stop. Altered in Photoshop

The once below has creases if you want them too. 😁

Balloon flower
Painted with tempera on a board A4 in size.

Purple deer!
I made another backgrund in purple to use. I figured the christmas window decoration matched the colors. So, the deer "moved in".

We have seen the first sign of spring in Sweden. I am soo glad we actually had three weeks of real winter so now spring seem perfectly timed. So, when finish this post I will head out to enjoy sun and mabe some flowers. I already seen two butterflies and the first Coltsfoot flower.

Take care. "C" is still present!

Comedie digital and blues

The 100 year old that escaped......  (Here on a draisine)

I had a hard time with Rains promt this week. Then I remembered this one.
It is a Swedish movie based on a book. I read the book and loved it. Not the movie so much as lots of things was excluded. Things I would have loved to watch. Still, it is a fun one.

Click the link if you want to know more about it.

I did not think I had done much art this week. But checking my files I posted a few on IG.
SO, I made a collage/mosaic of them.
What you see is Fallow deer, spiderweb with a dove, floating snow discs and a snowy forest.

Study in blue
This is the last of my larger canvases. It is 40x40 cm. I was about to keep working on it, but I like it as it is so for now I leave it.
I still have a few small ones to paint, after that it will probably not be more of them. My walls are filled and there don´t seem to ever be any more exhibitions. The library has been closed several months now and the present Corona situation will probably keep it closed many more months.
We can´t visit the Library, but we can order books and magazines digitally and recieve them in a safe way. That is a good thing.

This is a small one 12x18 cm, painted with elftover acrylic colors from the Study in blue.
I´m pretty sure Andrea will find a few faces in it.

Film Noir and abstract happening

Ingrid Bergman
I might be cheating a bit for Rains promt this week when I have an image of Ingrid Bergman, the Swedish actor in many Film Noir movies.
I remember reading once that the reason for this kind of filming was quite obvious. It was easy and cheep to film as they did not need much props, just turn the light to a minimum. And voila, magic happens.

NatureFootstep
My own take on Film Noir. Taken a shot of myself in a Motellroom in Yellowstone in 2017.
My last trip abroad!

Abstract happening 1
This is created from a background, acrylic paintin A4, rather dull except from the orange color. I took it to Photoshop and added a birch photo and blended it in.

Abstract happening 2
This is the same background as the one above. But here I went on painting. Painted the animals from stencils and more color. Still not to my liking I fetched some tools from my working days and draw the white lines and curves on it. DONE!
Those white lines changed the look compleately!

The weather where I live is strange. It has been sunny, and no wind since the snowfall two weeks ago. The snow is still hanging on most of the trees and the forest is dotted with white snow.
It is weird somehow.  Below is a boardwalk to a birding tower yesterday.

Take care!
