This week I finished the peacock feather. Acrylic on canvas. The basic pattern comes from an old skirt I have. I have not used it much but love the colors. It is 40x50 cm.

I found some Tempera colors on sale and bought it. Thought I can test that as well. I found a "childproof" recipe, that is...non toxic. I loved the golden color and the silver and blue used here.
Not to wast a lot of money I made the pour on a pizza box 25x25 cm. It buckled of course. A lot! When it was dry I moisture it a bit on the carton side and put a glass with weights on top of it to try to flatten it. Right now I have checked it and think I actually succeeded in making it flat :)
I call it "Fishbowl" as I think one pattern looks like a fish :)

Ohhh Monica I so love this feather. It is striking in shape and colors. Great artists use different materials and if they don't work at first find a way to fix or make them work. I love what you did with the pizza box.
