Canceled summer plans

Summer plans for Rains DAT this week. Well forget about it. I guess everybody knows why that is.
I was thinking of driving to Öland. An iceland in the south of Sweden. Not to windsurf myself but to photograph them. I made this watercolor painting inspired of a photo I took several years ago. I love watching them and if I was young I would certainly try it!

I have now put the small, bright, paintings on a white canvas.I might call it
"Black and White kitchen wall"

Fire and water

I have a canvas that is damaged. Thought I use it for practising different brushes. The work above is only a part of that canvas.
This week I tested to use the fanbrush. Seem to me I have a lot of more practising to do. The major problem seem to be the thickness of the color and the preparation of the canvas. I can´t get it to "flow" the way I see them doing in videos. As a fantasy I kind of like it anyway.

The Exibition went well and I sold 4 posters. But for the moment I feel drained so I am back to photoshop again for a while.

I still have not got the paint I ordered. So....working with digital painting to get used do the different pencils. Thought I would start with something easy. Turned out it´s not that easy after all. :( I still have to learn about all kinds of pencils and dry and wet colors.

Well, I guess, what ever I learn I can use it in all different techniques. Digital and paper/canvas. And my hand is slowly improving. I can draw longer curves now :)

Using CS5, NIK collection and Topaz filters.

Thanks to Stanley Hattman for suggesting BW for this place. Even if it was not that easy. A bit too much texture made it look dirty at first so a bit of "handiwork" was needed.

Ruined or....?

Today I share the finished piece as well as the SOOC, Straight Out Of Camera. I worked in both Topaz and CS5 photoshop, 3 different filters and blendings. Kind of Mix and Match.

When I took the image I had to go down on my knees to get the lens flare right.

This place was burning many years ago and from what I am told nobody was injured.

Frozen flowers

I was defrosting my frezer a week ago and found the flowers I put in for freezing in a glass container about a year ago and then forgot. Took the ice out and took some shots. They are still in the glass container and that one became frosted and added a texture to the ice.

Using several editing softwares and filters and a lot of other stuff, I came up with "Deep Freeze"

Edit: I was asked why I froze the flowers in the first place. I have done it before with christmas cactus but this time it was a man, Bruce Boyd, that froze the flowers and then cracked the ice that made me do it. You can see some of it HERE. I have not cracked my ice yet :)
