Spirit and leafs

The waterspirit
For Rains TAD this week about Supernatural. Photo edit in PS. The spirit is my granddaughter. The waterfall is Skogafoss in Iceland.

Below is a set of Autumn leaves. Watercolor, coffee and leafs on watercolor paper A4

Autumn leaves 1
Walking in nature looking for leaves I realized not all autumn leafs are yellow, orange and red.
Also I noticed the backside is sometimes very beautiful.

Autumn leaves 2
This is the backside of different dark leafs. Looks very much like lace.

Autumn leaves 3
Had to find some autumn colors too.

And, my little workstation crowded with stuff for Autumn leaves 3.

The Pandemic seem to start all over again so I hope everyone is still safe. I am. No "C" in the forest. And I found a new place to go yesterday. Will share some images later on, on my other blog.

Goddesses and some grass

"The Birth of Venus" (Sandro Botticelli) 1485  This image that Rain had found on her search of Masters says Venus. I thought this figurine was Afrodite.

At least this is NIKE, but who created her I have no clue.
Nike as the Winged Victory of Samothrace, c. 200-190 BC,

These are imaged from 130223 so they are old ones.  The  two above are slightly edited in Photoshop

Below are images showing the setting for my "photoshoot" with Goddesses figurines

Nike and Afrodite or if it is Venus   đŸ˜•

Sand on a black baking sheet

At that time I had a bowl of water standing in the window. In February the sun created a rainbow on the floor. So I decided to play a little with goddesses and settings. The bowl in the window is the source to the rainbow. My files are almost overloaded with images from that day. Glad I found them. 😄

And a little grass also today
Leaves and grass
Watercolor on watercolor paper A4
For this one I used makeup pencils. A tiny one for the grass and leaves and a feather for the grass on the ground. For the background I used a pencil I think is used for powder on your face.
It was easy to work with makeup brushes and I like the result. Hope you like it too.

The color choices came from one of my socks..😄

A bit busy

This bag of small soaps are souvenirs from my trips. Finally I get a chance to make use of them :)

Finally the "Fish bowl" is finished. I glued it on a board and painted the edges a little. When the painting dryed it "sank" doen into the pizza box creating the texture of bricks. I added a little blue color on the edges.  30x30cm

"Green" A new pour on canvas. There are a little cells but not much. I think I had too creamy colors. Not fluid enough. 20x20cm

Practising movement of handdrawing using different kinds of felt tip pens and pens with gelly.
First time I did something like this. :)  Paper 15x21cm

Autumn leaf   20x20 cm
This afternoon I went to the forest to look for birch bark. I have some ideas I want to try.
I noticed many autumn colored plants and trees. So, took some  shots and picked some leafs. At home I took a canvas 20x20cm and poured medium on it. Then placed the leafs on it. Using the medium as glue. When it was almost dry I took the medium again and painted the entire canvas with it.

Now I have to wait and see what happens to the leafs. Right now they look metallic. I hope the treatment will preserve the colors. Time will tell.

My head is a mess right now. I have tons of ideas, half would be enough. But I learn a lot and it is FUN! So, just bear with me till I cool off :)
