Peles tears

In Hawaii many beaches are of black sand as it is really lavasand. 

I picked these Tears up close to the Volcano. Our travelling guides was geologists but they also knew about the tales in Hawaii. 

When I was there visitors was allowed to walk in the crater with a guide. As the volcano was dormant. Today it is active and noone is walking enywere near it.


PELE story
Wikipedia: Pele's tears, like Pele's hair, are named after Pele, the Hawaiian fire goddess of volcanoes.



Pele's tears (closest Hawaiian translation: "nā waimaka o pele") are small pieces of solidified lava drops formed when airborne particles of molten material fuse into tearlike drops of volcanic glass. Pele's tears are jet black in color and are often found on one end of a strand of Pele's hair. Pele's tears is primarily a scientific term used by volcanologists.

Nature in blue!

The valley!

Both the above work are canvas 30x60cm. Nature in blue are painted, The valley are Flip work. 

The Valley took 4 day to dry as lots of paint moved to the center of it. 

This one might end up in  standing position. 

Happy Halloween! 

This one was quite fun o create. It is lots of stickers, a mask and one image found online. 

This is not  really a Halloween one. It is my Easterwitch. With a tag added. 

She is riding to Blåkulla with her cat to dance with her sisters. In the first night of Easter. They dance until the morning comes. 

Colorful waterfall! This is the place where the rainbow hits the ground. There should be an ironbucket with golden money. If you find it, please tell me.

Casted Acorn in Resin

Acorn

These acorns are casted in Resin. And it looks like they are in a glass cube. Rather small, 40x40 mm in size. It was quite a challenge so these was the only ones I created.

As we did not celebrate Halloween in Sweden when I was a kid I don´t care much about it. We have a witch though, but she comes at Easter. Riding on a broomstick!

Prince Hat under the ground

This is an old book that I inherited from my mother Marie. There are three stories in the book and Prince Hat is one of them. She must have read them for us many times. The book is very worn.  My younger brother probably got his hands on it as there are a few pages that are torn. 

This book was printed in 1949 but the the stories are from the 19th century,

It is the sprinkler system. I have been walking there many times without seeing it. The leaves looks a bit like hair so that might be the reason.  😃

Acorn tree

This tree is created by acorns, decorative gravel and a popsicle stick!

The background for the tree is a blackpainted dinner-plate. 

The acorns are gorgeous right now. I have picked lots of them.

Cinderella!

Everyone knows the story so I skip describing it. 

This is a painting I did a couple of years ago with scrylics on a anvas. And wagon/horse stickers. If you look close you can see the head of Cinderella in the window of the wagon. I added the good witch and lighteffects in Photoshop
