Eyes and ears and nature

Lily of the valley
This is a photo of the berries and dry leaves of Lily of the Valley. For balance I added some other dry leaves.

Wild life in the sea
Photo manipulation. This was a duck from the start, now I see Dolphins  😀

Eyes and ears for Rains
Horus eye
Watercolor on A4 paper and a cutout eye.

The eye!
Watercolor on A5 sketch paper. My first eye ever.

This is supposed to be an ear. But I see a ghost.  😂
I did this one before the eye as a test on how sketch paper and pencils would work.

Today I will visit my daughter in her garden. My grand daughter will also be there.
It is my daughters birthday tomorrow. It was totally ruined on the 9/11 event. You are reminded of that every time it is her birthday. I wonder how many birthdays the C will destroy?

Create happy art.

Take care everyone!

  3. Monica,

I'm trying to figure out what I see but my brain hasn't woken up yet. I have coffee brewing right now. I might have to wait awhile. lol One thing I can tell you is the pastel paints surrounding the eye makes me think of a woman wearing a mask like one would wear at a masquerade. Have a lovely day with your daughter, my dear!

  5. Positively inspiring Monica. I love the Horus Eye, but both are great. The ear is quite unique, and a bit disturbing (in a good way).

  6. I see eyes, many of them especially the 'wild life in the sea' one - I see a laughing face there, no dolphins. I see a person with a big head leaning in the last. Guess art is in the eye of the beholder.

    Have a lovely day.

  7. I didn't see a ghost, I saw a dancer with her arm gracefully curved over her head. Oh my. Beautiful collection of eyes!

  10. We have a fading patch of Lily of the Valley, and I will look at it anew. Beautiful arrangement! Your eyes are wonderful, but most of all I love your “ghost”, although I see a “ghost ballerina”. 😄

  11. Lovely dry arrangement of Lily of the Valley. Wonderful colour.
Love the Horus eye. Seems full of mystery.
And I also very much like the wild swirls of Wild Life in the Sea.

  14. Well goodness ... I see all kinds of things that you had no intention of creating. In the Wildlife in the Sea, I see a grinning, mischievous face. In your ear I see the suggestion of a bare chested woman dancing. Oh my, that is why they say art is in the eye of the beholder :) Your Horus Eye and The Eye stand alone and are beautifully done. More fun from you ... thank you, Monica. I always look forward to seeing what you will come up with from week to week. As for your daughter being born on 9/11 ... it can be a gift. A way to focus you thoughts and love on a wonderful event vs a terrible event. I think more of us would love to have that distraction. Sounds like you are able to enjoy life in spite of it all ... Stay well, my friend ...

  15. Monica, I love what you see with your EYES...the ghost, the dolphins, which by the way is an amazing photo manipulation! It looks very abstract yet mystical to me. Your Lily of the Valley is simple but so intricate and beautiful!! :) Sorry I'm late this week!!!
