Moon and Gingerbread

This fortnight Tag Tuesday wants us to create something that starts with the first letter in our first name.

Ny first name is Monica, so I choose the Moon. I made the mistake to choose images before I realized it was for a tag, so I added a bow to the first image to make it a Tag.

TagTuesday

This week TAD have gingerbread as promt. I have done some ballon art this week so I took some color and dropped it on the cookie. Then pushed the balloon on it. You see the result below. But, as I used acrylic paint I am NOT going to eat them.

If you want to eat them, use icing suger and food colors.

Paint still wet.

Today I have got my third vaccin for Covid so now I must be very much protected.
We have our first real frosty days. Very beautiful outside.

Weather outdoors don´t inspire to any winter scenery so I went through my files.

Swan in frosty forest!

Photo art, 2 images combined in Photoshop. I took both yesterday. I saw this tiny Frostforest and then the swan standing in a frosen lake.

Whirling and black

Rains promt today are Wisps and Winds. This is what I came up with. Hope you like it!

Whirling stringpull!

This was a test to see if this chainpull can be used on photopaper! It worked. A bit different then canvas, but I can do it. A paper can be stored in a file. A canvas can not. It buckled a lot and I also had tejp in the cornes.

For the following three peices I used decorsand I painted black and used as texture.

Black!

All black Tempera on bord 31x22,5cm The light grey is mostly beause of the light. I moved the camera around to get the lit part in the center.

Deer!

Canvas 18x11,5cm. I used a template to place the sand that creates the deers.

Then painted them with gold and silver.

Ocean beach with lavaformations.

Watecolor paper A4, black sand and painted with tempera and acrylic.

Ocean lava beach!

Watercolorpaper A4 painted with tempera and acrylics. Decorated with the rest of hth decorsand I painted.

Deer!

The deer is created with the black-painted decorsand using a template. Then painted with gold and silver.

Black!

Only black paint used. For photo I turned the panel around to get the daylight reflection in the center.

Birch-bark Tag

In a flowershop I found these beautiful birch-barks hearts. They are attatched to a canvas 20x20cm

Chainpull in progress! (not yet dry)

As my walls are full I can´t really create any large canvases anymore. This is a test of creating a chainpull on a A4 size photopaper. It worked. Different from the canvases but quite OK.

Visted the park of Säfstaholms Castle a couple of days ago.

They have beautiful fountains.

Ocean Abstract

This is kind of an "happening". This was one of my mothers paintings. Not her best I have to mention. I have her better ones on my walls. :)

The canvas is 55x58cm. I started painting it over with black tempera. I liked how the top part turned out. Moms painting shines through a bit. So I left it like that. That way it is both hers and mine.

I really had no idea of what I would do with it so I poured on a little blue paint while it was still wet and went from there.I also used acrylics for the gold and green. .

It was quite tricky to photograph. The colors faded in too much light. It needs a bit darkness to skine.

Make it Magical

The new challenge on Try It On Tuesday for te coming fortnight is Make it Magical!

That´s fun for me. I went through my files for pieces I remember as Magical. I have tons of artwork I don´t even remember I created. Not even when I see them. The following ones I never forget. They were tricky to create and brings a lot of good memories in different ways.

I give no details because if I do, the magic disappears.

AEDM and workshop

The Workshop!

Two seeks ago I visited a new workshop I have not been to before. The female artist paints and renovates furnture and other things that need a little care. These chairs was painted with white tempera and got new fabrics. They were quite beautiful whith their new look.

It is AEDM-time now and the following art is created "one at a day":

Tag Tuesday this week is about "Windows, doors and arches"

This was quite tricky, but fun, to create. It is a combination of painting the tag and adding it to a photo of a church ruin. The tag is a doortag I have, a yellow one, but I can paint on it. It is actually two tags. The one painted as a doorway and the little "closed" one.
