I decided to create an abstract with some colors I thought would go well together. I was not disappointed as the dark brown was even better then I thought. I haven´t used it before as it looks dull in the bottle.

Spreading Tempera colors on the watercolor paper A4
covering the colors with a plastic folie and spread the colors out.
Having trouble with the paper buckling 😒
Ended up not that wavy after all
Done, after creating a frame in Photoshop
A messy process! But I like these colors together. Will probably use them again.

A messy process but it looks like fun ~ I like the fall color palette you chose ~
ReplyDeleteI Couldn't agree more ... love the colors, love the piece and yes, the process is certainly messy ... but you can't mess with success :) Stay well, Monica ...

This is a great beautiful chaos in art!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea about chaos!
Good Day, hug Elke
thanks!
ReplyDeleteThat's so neat Monica!! A messy process indeed, but wow, very cool abstract. It looks like flowers. I agree, I tend to avoid browns too but they really worked well with the colours you chose! I always have issues with warping paper...I read about a way to stretch it out so it doesn't warp, but I haven't tried it yet. When I do I'll post about it. And I read that you could always CAREFULLY iron it when it's all dry, though I can't see how that wouldn't mess up the paint!!! :)
ReplyDeletethanks! When the painting is dry I turn it upsidedown and wet it slightly, then put a board with a weight on it to press it down. Works quite well.
