What a messy process

I decided to create an abstract with some colors I thought would go well together. I was not disappointed as the dark brown was even better then I thought. I haven´t used it before as it looks dull in the bottle.

Spreading Tempera colors  on the watercolor paper A4

covering the colors with a plastic folie and spread the colors out.

Having trouble with the paper buckling 😒

Ended up not that wavy after all

Done, after creating a frame in Photoshop

A messy process! But I like these colors together. Will probably use them again.

  2. I Couldn't agree more ... love the colors, love the piece and yes, the process is certainly messy ... but you can't mess with success :) Stay well, Monica ...

  6. That's so neat Monica!! A messy process indeed, but wow, very cool abstract. It looks like flowers. I agree, I tend to avoid browns too but they really worked well with the colours you chose! I always have issues with warping paper...I read about a way to stretch it out so it doesn't warp, but I haven't tried it yet. When I do I'll post about it. And I read that you could always CAREFULLY iron it when it's all dry, though I can't see how that wouldn't mess up the paint!!! :)

    1. thanks! When the painting is dry I turn it upsidedown and wet it slightly, then put a board with a weight on it to press it down. Works quite well.

  7. The importance of social networking sites in today's world is immense. Indeed, the above mentioned websites are best, however there is also a latest Social Networking site MyworldGo , where you can connect with others. We are also available on iOS and android.
