Comedie digital and blues

The 100 year old that escaped......  (Here on a draisine)

I had a hard time with Rains promt this week. Then I remembered this one.
It is a Swedish movie based on a book. I read the book and loved it. Not the movie so much as lots of things was excluded. Things I would have loved to watch. Still, it is a fun one.

Click the link if you want to know more about it.

I did not think I had done much art this week. But checking my files I posted a few on IG.
SO, I made a collage/mosaic of them.
What you see is Fallow deer, spiderweb with a dove, floating snow discs and a snowy forest.

Study in blue
This is the last of my larger canvases. It is 40x40 cm. I was about to keep working on it, but I like it as it is so for now I leave it.
I still have a few small ones to paint, after that it will probably not be more of them. My walls are filled and there don´t seem to ever be any more exhibitions. The library has been closed several months now and the present Corona situation will probably keep it closed many more months.
We can´t visit the Library, but we can order books and magazines digitally and recieve them in a safe way. That is a good thing.

This is a small one 12x18 cm, painted with elftover acrylic colors from the Study in blue.
I´m pretty sure Andrea will find a few faces in it.
😂👻

  6. Oh you know me well and of course, I found many faces in the last painting and in your "Study in Blue". I don't know that it is a good thing that I find faces because the faces can become a distraction and take away from the whole. But, that is what my brain does so I have fun with it :) Your comedy sounds hilarious ... I think I would have enjoyed watching it ... or, like you, reading the book. Fun post, Monica ...

  9. Hi Monica :)) I love your blue acrylics, they are very nice! And your deer...you're so lucky to see so many. Actually on Friday I had to go to town and passing by a cabbage farm I saw hundreds of deer snacking on the leftovers. It was quite a sight! I couldn't stop to take a photo because it was along a busy highway, but I hope to go back there at some point to take pictures! Interesting story about the 100 year old man. I never heard of that one!

  10. Monica - I like so much about this post - each of the pictures within the collage stand out to me for different reasons. I am glad you explained about the dove - for some reason, I did not see it at first, and now I can only see it! Your study in blue is so peaceful. Thanks for sharing your talent with everyone at Mosaic Monday!
