This is the Blue forest from last week. Just wanted to share what I made of it

Abstract forest

Here I took two layers of the same image and positioned and blended them differently. I also used the "empty space"  to keep it off center.

For this mosaic I turned the Blue forest into greyscale.

Face in a piece of Birch bark.

For Rains theme Face in object, this week. This is my favorite and I even have had it on one of my exhibitions. I still have it! Photographed on my balcony floor.

Just for the fun of it. Strangely this face disappeared rather quickly.

The shape in the blue forest.
This was supposed to be a beautiful blue birch forest. I had watched a tutorial on Youtube.
It did not work as I expected. Probably as I used glossy photo paper A4 to paint on with Tempera color. The color did not work as fluid as I had expected it to do so it, kind of, got stuck instead of moving. And the yarn with white color that should create the tree trunks was not heavy enough to lay down on the paper. It buckles and became uneven. So, to save the day, I photographed the "blue forest", took it to Photoshop and added the pink shape, slightly manipulated too.

I still have the Blue forest without the pink shape. Any suggestions of what to paint on it?

Well, today I hope, at least, you get a bit amused.  😂

Two colors

Rains theme for today is Two colors. Suited me fine as there was something I had thought of doing. 

Wind

A4 watercolor paper painted with coffee and Burnt Sienna watercolor. At first I planned to use Burnt umber to finish off. But I changed my mind when I saw it as it was. Sometimes less is more.

Watercolor on A5 CarbOn paper. No water added.

 Pink coral!
This was a failure I had "collecting dust".  Waiting for ideas. It was painted with the blue tempera but scraped of  in the center.
I put dots of glue here and there to create corals and filled them with pink glitter. When it dried I decided to paint some fish as well to give it "life".

Hm, strange, no photoart today.  😀

The little Mermaid and other things

The little Mermaid

A few months ago I played around with dropping color in water and photograph it. I had the sticker of the mermaid and a photo of the little dolphin. Combined the underwaterworld in Photoshop

A shot of one of my pours, 40x40. I added some mermaids and fish to create a digital underwaterworld.

This is "memory lane". We call them "Book marks" but I think the English might be "Printed scrapes" Most of them was my mothers so they are about 100 years old. You can recognize "Cinderella", "Snow White", "The Frog prince". "The wild swans". The last one might be "Nils Holgersson" a Swedish tale by Selma Lagerlöf.

The scrapes are 6x8 cm each placed on A4 paper.

If this was Dinosaur´s instead of deer´s this might be a forest from the Triassic period.
I photographed ferns from below and the deer is actually a winter shot with a large tree.
Combined the two images and Voila, a fantasy forest.

Bits and pieces on a plate

Life is Beautiful!
Rains  theme for today is to Try a different medium. Well, this is pieces of wood from canvases I did not use. They have "collected" dust for a while. I have some plastic plates and placed them out on one. They became a barn and a fence. Then I painted the plate with black, green and silver Tempera color. Finding the deer and the message stickers completed the plate.

We had a very hot week but yesterday the rain finally cooled us down a bit. And saved us a little from fire hazards. Hope everyone is safe and sound!
